ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. If you are new here and would like to know more about Jesus, Leidy’s Church, and how to get connected, please fill out the Connect with Leidy’s Card and put it in the Get Connected pillars on the left-hand side of the doors when you leave the sanctuary.
2. As you partner with us in the work of the Kingdom, please place your gifts and offerings in the Get Connected pillars.
3. The Second Candle on the Advent Wreath is the candle of Peace. Jesus was born into the world to bring peace between God and mankind. As we receive God’s peace through the righteousness of Christ, we are enabled to share that peace with others as we seek to encourage greater love and understanding in our homes, community, nation, and world.
4. Double Your Dollar Campaign! Thanks to the incredible generosity of two individuals in our church, every dollar you give during December will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000 to our Renovation Fund. We hope to reach $50,000—or more—by December 31! We ask that your Double Your Dollar gift be in addition to your regular generous giving by using the Renovation Fund Envelope or a Second Mile Offering Envelope and indicate Renovation Fund. Let’s finish this year with a spirit of generosity and gratitude! You can give online at https://leidyschurch.churchcenter.com/giving, by mail, or in person.
5. Join us for our Carols & Songs Service! Next Sunday evening beginning at 6:00. Celebrate the season with timeless carols, songs, and Scripture readings that highlight the anticipation and retelling of Jesus’ birth story. Bring your family and friends for this special evening.
6. Spring Kids Musical kick-off - Kindergarteners through teens are invited to our musical kickoff party happens this Saturday at 10am in the Youth Room. We will play games, have snacks, and watch "The Bumble BEEattitudes" performance. We are looking for older kids to be skateboarders and a group of teenage girls. Please invite your friends, grandchildren, and neighbors to join us! Register for the event on Leidy's Church Center App or look for the link in the weekly newsletter.
7. O.A.S.I.S. Christmas Luncheon happens this Thursday, from 11:30-1:30. There a sign-up sheet in the hallway. Come for a lively lunch and carol singing, warm fellowship and happy familiar faces and to wish each other a Merry Christmas!!
8. We are preparing to make our sanctuary look festive and welcoming during the Advent season. Please consider purchasing a poinsettia to help with these efforts. You will find order slips in the bulletin. Simply fill out the slip, place it in a pew envelope with cash or check, and drop it in one of the collection pillars.
9. Today is the day the two churches in Gaza are supposed to receive the 23 tons of rice. The rice was shipped in 50-pound bags. The pallets have been plastic-wrapped by hand, cardboard then was added to disguise the contents, and then each pallet was machine wrapped to secure everything. Both churches have communal kitchens, so rice will be cooked daily and will have communal meals. Hallelujah, Lord Jesus, may it be so! Continue to pray for the Lord Jesus to oversee and bring to a good conclusion this entire operation.
10. The flowers are placed by Bonnie Pross in loving memory of Les Pross as he is spending his Christmas with Jesus this year.
11. The 2025 Flower Chart is posted on the wall in the narthex for those who would like to sponsor flowers for our sanctuary.
