Short Length Missions Trip: Pikangikum
For the past two decades, members from Leidy’s church have traveled to Pikangikum, Ontario to minister to the first nations community of approximately 2,800 individuals that lives there.
The people of Pikangikum face many unique challenges, not only because of their remote location and extreme weather conditions, but also due to spiritual oppression. The unusually high suicide rate within their community is but one marker of the spiritual battle that is taking place. We seek to provide practical support in the form of manual labor, but more importantly we look to provide the hope and love that comes from the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
