This week’s sermon title is “Done.” Christmas is over. It is done. It cannot be undone. By Christmas, of course, we mean the irruption (not eruption) of God into this fallen world to bring about the redemption, reconciliation, and restoration of the people of God. In the fifth chapter of Revelation the apostle John sees the full outworking of what he wrote about in the first chapter of his gospel account. It’s worth our examining again. We are among those who share the burden given to John the Baptist in the words of Isaiah to get up on a high mountain and declare, “Here is your God! He will tend His flock.” Come to Him.
