Distractions Deter Devotion

Technology has blessed us with many innovations and creature comforts. It improves efficiency in communication, manufacturing, and medicine. Its promise of a longer, healthier, more productive life is a reality. But an uncontrolled use of technology carries a cost in relationships. We may be more connected today, but we are more detached relationally. This disconnection impacts at home, at school, at work, and chiefly with God. We’ll survey the Scriptures to see how these distractions deter devotion in relationship to God.
