THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Let’s Get Blessed! In The Devil’s Dictionary Ambrose Bierce defines the book of Revelation this way: A famous book in which St. John the Divine concealed all that he knew. The revealing is done by the commentators, who know nothing. It is a truth commonly acknowledged among most Christians that Revelation is a difficult book to read, much less to understand. Today we will attempt to provide some ballast for reading Revelation, some preliminary matters that will help us gain some sea legs. At the top of the list is God’s assertion that those who read/hear Revelation are blessed.
TODAY IS THE PICNIC DAY! Lots of folk have been cooking up a storm to have a wonderfully clear day for the All-Church Picnic this day. There will be pit-BBQ chicken, lots of tasty side dishes, and an abundance of dessert product. We’ll eat in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service of worship. A special program follows lunch, then the afternoon is open for all sorts of activities. Everyone is invited to stay and enjoy today’s picnic activities.

JUDGEMENT HOUSE HELP NEEDED. The latter part of October is less than a month away! We still have a few holes to fill. We hope you can help. The slots listed below are not for every night, but only on certain nights. In scenes, though not speaking roles, we need 4 adult men and 1 adult woman. Helping navigate any given evening’s activities, we need 2 Tour Guides, 5 Security Personnel, and 4 Registration Personnel. We have spots open for 4 Kitchen Helpers. Again, these are not every night slots, but for some nights. We also could use 2 Construction Helpers to help get things hammered into place. Talk to Pastor Michael for complete details. Thanks!
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this Senior Saints Luncheon a success. It blessed all who were able to attend and could not have happened without all your help!
