THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Tossed, Turned, and Spun About. God is sovereign. Hallelujah! That blessed fact does not make the reality of suffering and failure easy. In fact, in the midst of troubles, life often seems to be flipped upside down. It may even feel as though there is no way forward. Apart from the Lord, there is not. Thanks be to God that He has poured out His wrath upon His Son and poured out His Spirit upon us.

A HUGE THANK YOU! Pastor Steve and Pastor Michael express gratitude for all of the prayers, cards, and gifts throughout the last month. Serving God’s people at Leidy’s Church has been a blessing and honor.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES are available in the narthex and at several other locations in the building. Everyone is encouraged to take one (or two!) and fill it according to the guidelines listed in the brochure you’ll find inside the box. That brochure contains important and helpful information about what to include and what not to include in your box. All boxes should be returned to Leidy’s Church by next Sunday!

GOSPEL GLEANING PRAYER POINTERS
- As we pray for the Erukula people and the church planters that are working among them, our desire is for the Lord Jesus to be manifestly working in their midst. We remember the first and great commandment, namely, that we should love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our mind, and all our strength. To that end, it would not be amiss to ask the Holy Spirit to fill the church planters and the new Erukula believers with the reality of Psalm 119:2, How blessed are those who observe His [the Lord’s] testimonies, Who seek Him with all their heart. To observe, means not merely to “look at,” but to carry out, to fulfill. May such be the desire and purpose of all God’s people.
- Pray for patient persistence among the Christians in Chad and Niger. Patient persistence in walking faithfully before God and before man. Obstacles abound. Discouragement comes all too easily. In each country there are clusters of churches and Christians desiring to be faithful witnesses among people groups of their own countrymen who have never heard the gospel. Though they are a miniscule minority, they desire to be used of God to bring the message of new life in Jesus Christ faithfully in their land. Ask for God to give them insight, protection, and holy boldness in their patient persistence in prayer and witness.
AFGHAN REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT set to happen soon. BUT, more help is needed. A group of Leidy’s Church folk is looking for others who can come alongside in this effort. 20 to 30 more volunteers are needed. Many hands make light work! If you’re interested and/or willing to help out, contact Karen Parry at 267-446-8367. Areas where help is needed include housing/furnishings, financial planning, transportation, help in navigating such areas as medical care and filling out job application forms. There’s also a need for those who simply will be a friend. Let us know asap if you’re able to join with us as action must be taken in the next couple of weeks. We can fill you in on the details. Thanks for your help!
PATTERNS OF PRAYER take place the first and third Saturdays of each month. We pray in the morning from 10 to 12 in Room 117. Participants are welcome to come and go as schedules permit/necessitate. This Saturday is the first Saturday of November, so we’ll be praying and you’re welcome to join as well. If you have any questions or suggestions for prayer, please speak with Patricia Martindell.
