THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Tolerance Reconsidered. We live in an age marked by tolerance. Tolerance is considered an essential character trait. But in Jesus’ letter to the church in Thyatira that is the very attribute for which He rebukes them. He didn’t rebuke for their having the attribute of tolerance itself, but for their continuing with it when they knew it was preventing a malignant sore from being treated. Jesus says He will treat the malignancy – and it won’t be pretty. God is merciful. He calls for people to repent. He exercises great tolerance, but there comes a point in time when tolerance must be reconsidered. An insight for our age.
THE ISSUES & ANSWERS SCHEDULE:
- Today – Crescent Project – Denny Barger
- Nov. 10 – Crescent Project – Denny Barger
IT’S COMING . . . sooner than you think . . . the Annual Leidy’s Christmas Bazaar, Nov. 23rd from 9-2. Don’t fight the crowds at the mall, grab a friend and your Christmas gift list and take care of all your shopping needs in one stop! Lunch and baked goods will be available all day. Many of the items at our sale are one-of-a-kind, so shop early for best selection. Also please pray that the Lord blesses our endeavor and multiples our talents tenfold! See you there!
THE CRESCENT PROJECT continues! Led by Denny Barger, it happens in the Issues & Answers class on Sunday mornings. Are all Muslims terrorists? What do Muslims believe? How can I speak with my Muslim neighbors or co-workers? Does my Christian faith create a barrier between us? These and other such questions will be addressed during The Crescent Project. Denny invites you to come out, find out, and get equipped to reach out.
SPIRITUAL COUNCIL meets this Tuesday evening at 7:30 in Rm. 123.
ONLY A FEW Operation Christmas Child boxes remain to be picked up. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, now is the time to do it. Also, please remember the boxes are due back to the church by November 16th, two weeks from yesterday. THANKS for your participation in this project to send gospel encouragement around the globe.

Also, since Leidy’s Church is a polling place, this means that from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening, the Fellowship Hall will be reserved for voting and the preparations. Please park farther down in the lot so that voters can have the closest and most convenient spots.
AN INQUIRER’S CLASS BEGINS next Sunday. It will meet during the Sunday School hour in the Conference Room. Lasting for six weeks, it is designed to give a complete overview of Leidy’s Church.
