THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Fishermen of God. This is the final Sunday of Mission Month. Something special is in store for us. You’ll notice that our gospel text is from Luke 19. That should ring a bell for some of us. “Didn’t we do some sort of program that was named The Luke 19 Project?” Yes, we did, and today we’re going to launch another Luke 19 Project. Jeremiah has intimations of such a project when he prophesies of fishermen and hunters! We want this project to enable us to engage in some fishing and hunting for the Lord down in the country of Colombia. Come and receive the means to do some fishing.
WE WELCOME BILL TEATE AND PASTOR DAGOBERTO to our service of worship this morning. Bill will be bringing the Word to us, specifically challenging us regarding the Luke 19 Project, while Pastor Dagoberto will speak to us from Cucuta, Colombia, via Skype about the In This Time of Need project his church is carrying out. We look forward to hearing from Bill Teate, a good friend, and from Dagoberto Angarita, a new friend.

TIME’S GETTING SHORT to sign up to be part of the SLMT–Pik team! The sign-up sheet is posted on the narthex wall. July 11th through the 21st are the dates. Mark it on your calendar. No one is too young, no one is too old. Likewise, no one is too skilled and no one is too unskilled. You simply need to be a ready and willing worker with VBS materials and kids or with maintenance projects and tools. Seek the Lord, perhaps He wants to use you in this year’s ministry to Canada.
AUCTION DONATION FORMS for the Leidy’s Church Auction set for April 27th are on the Welcome Desk and also at the hutch. Please pray how you can support this worthy endeavor. Call the church office if you have any questions about the auction or ideas you might have about donation items.
A BARNABAS OPPORTUNITY. Steve and Kelly Marks are missionaries we support. They will be leaving for Thailand at the beginning of next year, the Lord willing. In preparation for their departure, they are putting together a Barnabas Prayer Team. They would like to have someone from Leidy’s Church to be part of that team. Talk to Pastor Niederhaus for more information to see if this might be something where you could serve the Lord.
KRISTA TYSON is going on a mission/service trip to Bolivia in August. She is raising funds for the trip now. You may have received a letter in your church mailbox from her. Just use a Second Mile envelope and mark it Krista to Bolivia. The church will send one check for her support at the end of April.

WHAT’S AN OBERAMMERGAU? Good question. It’s a city in southern Bavaria. It also is the destination of a tour that begins in Rome, tours significant Italian cities such as Venice and Florence, traverses the Alps via the Brenner Pass to get to stops in Austria, and spends two days in Oberammergau for that city’s famous Passion Play. The Passion Play only happens during the first year of a new decade. 2020 is just such a year. Pastor Niederhaus is leading a tour to Oberammergau in mid-September of 2020. Brochures describing the tour and giving details are available in the narthex hutch. If you think this may be of interest to you, speak with him and he can give you all the details. Reservations need to happen sooner rather than later.

You can help for a few hours in the beginning or at the end of the day, or even stay for the whole event. We appreciate any and all help. Complimentary lunch and dinner at the country club is included. Enjoy a great day of fun and fellowship helping us raise awareness and money for our children in Ukraine.
