THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Blood: The Way into The Holy Place. Are you one of those people who cannot stand the sight of blood? Some among us simply cannot stand the sight of blood: their own, other people’s, or even animals. It makes them squeamish and lightheaded. If you were the high priest in Israel, you would have learned very early to be comfortable with blood. Each year the high priest would have to offer bloody sacrifices for himself and for the people. The author of Hebrews talks about blood as the way to enter the Holy Place. Should we start raising sheep and bulls to be near the Lord, or has Christ done this for us?
THE SACRAMENT of Holy Communion will be shared at the service of worship this morning. We invite all members of the church of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament.

AN ONGOING REQUEST for the Philadelphia Street Missions. This past winter Leidy’s Church was very gracious in providing clothing in the way of coats, socks, blankets and shoes. It filled a need for many people during the winter months, but summer brings a different need. An insert is in your mailbox with a list of items that would make a big difference in the life of a homeless person. Any items you are able to provide can be placed in the boxes in the coat closet. Please call Darlene Schmidt with any questions, 267-373-8918.
