THE SERMON TITLE this morning is God Provides for His People. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, of all things visible and invisible. As such, we, as His creatures, are created in His image and likeness, and we receive life, breath, health, and all things needed to live and prosper in this world. But the greatest provision from God toward us is the gift of His only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ. As we rejoice in the LORD as Jehovah-jireh, may we know more fully God’s loving provision of salvation in His beloved Son.

MARCH FOR LIFE 2021 takes place on Friday, January 29th. Leidy’s Church will have a Perkiomen coach taking folk down. The bus is full, but you can put your name on the waiting list. Cost is $12 per person. The bus will leave the Leidy’s Church parking lot at 6 a.m. and usually returns between 8:30 and 9 in the evening.

INQUIRER CLASS is planning to begin next Sunday. If you are interested in finding out more about this local assembly of Christ’s Church, what we doctrinally believe and what ministries we serve and support, please consider joining our next session. The class will meet in the Conference Room for six consecutive weeks during the Sunday School hour. If you would like to attend, please contact the church office, or speak to someone on the pastoral staff no later than Tuesday.

THE LEIDY’S CHURCH FAMILY would like to come alongside Tim and Rachel Leidy (and Andrew and Nora) and bless them with meals while Baby Jonas is in the hospital. A sign-up sheet has been posted on the narthex wall for you to get on the list. If you wish to help out and forget to sign up, contact the church office and they will let you know what dates are still available. There are no known food restrictions or allergies at this time.

† Rigorous new laws in India make conversion highly suspect, even illegal. Pray the Holy Spirit will help the 450 Erukulu students pay more heed to the teaching of the Bible than the decrees of the government. May they be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, going forward with God even when the rest of their society moves in another direction.

† Intercession is needed for a cell group of new Christians in Siguété, Chad. This cell is comprised of 15+ persons who were baptized in February of 2020. Local flooding caused them to disperse in late August. The cell is seeking to regroup and continue sharing the Good News with others in their area. Siguété is a district in the far east of the capital city of N’Djamena.

GRACE NOTES CHOIR will be starting up again this Wednesday evening. We meet in the choir room on the first floor at 5:00 and we’re done in time for dinner!  All kids are welcome to join us …. we sing a little, play some musical games and we love to sing in church!  See Donna Frueh or Laurie Plank for info or just stop in on Wednesday!

NIGHT TO SHINE 2021 Shine Thru volunteers still needed! On Friday, January 22nd from 4 to 8 pm and Saturday, the 23rd from 10 am to 4 pm our registered guests will be celebrated as they pick up their guest experience kit in the Leidy’s Church parking lot. Especially needed are Parking Lot attendants and Red Carpet helpers. Please go to leidyschurch.nighttoshine.com to get details and volunteer or contact the church office.

SONSHINE PLAYERS and the cast of Faith News in particular:  Plans are in the works to bring Faith News back, and we need to know everyone’s availability! We need to know if your plans have changed and if we need to recast any parts. Also, if you want to be part of the Spring Musical…but missed it last year…it’s not too late to join us! There is no age limit for Sonshine Players! (We’ve had some actors in the past that have been really old!) So, check your email and church mailboxes…or contact Donna Frueh or Laurie Plank for more details!
