THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Courage in Transitions. It has been said that we all like change, but only on our own terms. We have experienced many changes in our lives due to the coronavirus pandemic. The changes faced have altered our schedules, restructured our family life, and reorganized our priorities. When the pandemic restrictions were foisted upon us, we made transitions to cope and comply with those demands. When changes are imposed on us, how we deal with them has major implications on our faith-walk with God. We need God to grant us courage as we go through the transitions of life.

CHEF TONY is in need of some help with the Shepherd’s Breakfast Meeting on Saturday, September 12th. If you are able to give a hand, contact Chef Tony or the church office.

WE LOVE TO PRAY FOR OUR KIDS!  Each year we do that through matching kids with adults through the Prayer Cards.  Since we weren’t able to have Prayer Card Sunday back in April, the Christian Ed Department was thinking it would be good to have it in September to kick off a new year of Sunday School classes. Some of you already submitted photos to include on the Prayer Cards. Thank you! For those of you who didn’t do so, please drop a photo of your children off at the church office or email an electronic version to so we can print them. We would love to have all our children being prayed for. The date for Prayer Card distribution will be Sunday, September 20th.

IF ANYONE IN THE LEIDY’S CHURCH FAMILY would like to help bless Ben and Sara Shoaf by providing meals, go to to sign up. There you will find important details including what not to make and their home address and be able to see what dates are open. Thanks!

IT’S CHOIR TIME:  Yes, we will be having choir again this year.  And yes, we will try to respect social distance concerns.  If you’re interested in seeing how we’ll do this, please join our first practice IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL at 8:00, Wednesday, September 9.  If you have any questions, see Gary or Nancy.  Hope to see you then!

LADIES OF LEIDY’S meetings are set to reconvene on Tuesday, September 1st at 7 pm. Please note that we will be meeting in Rm. 123 so we can spread out a little easier. There is much to review and much to plan so please don’t miss our reopening meeting.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY for the food collection taking place for the Keystone Opportunity Center. Thank you to everyone for your donations.
