THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Life Lessons. Bill Teate has been in full-time ministry for almost 50 years and he’s been a Christian longer than that. During that time God has worked in his life in some amazing ways! He has a good perspective from which to view life as we live it. Today, it is his goal to look back and see what God has done. There are lessons God has taught Bill. Some were hard lessons; all were good lessons. His desire is for his retrospective purview to help us in our endeavor to follow God’s will for our lives. This will be a good day to gain some perspective as he shares some thoughts with us.

IF ANYONE IN THE LEIDY’S CHURCH FAMILY would like to help bless Ben and Sara Shoaf by providing meals, go to https://takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=VHFA7670&welcome=1 to sign up. There you will find important details including what not to make and their home address and be able to see what dates are open. Thanks!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Yep, the rummage room is full!! Due to all the wonderful donations, we must close the rummage room until the October sale. Please find a corner of your basement or garage and hold all your donations for us until then. We love all your items, we just cannot store them here at the moment. Thank you!

HELP NEEDED! Mike and Deb Hughes are looking for 2 or 3 people to help move furniture and items for mom Hazel Krier to her new apartment in Harleysville on Saturday, August 29th, starting at 9 am. It should all be done in 2 to 3 hours. If you can help out, please contact the church office ASAP. Thanks!

WE LOVE TO PRAY FOR OUR KIDS!  Each year we do that through matching kids with adults through the Prayer Cards.  Since we weren’t able to have Prayer Card Sunday back in April, the Christian Ed Department was thinking it would be good to have it in September to kick off a new year of Sunday School classes. Some of you already submitted photos to include on the Prayer Cards. Thank you! For those of you who didn’t do so, please drop a photo of your children off at the church office or email an electronic version to office@leidyschurch.org so we can print them. We would love to have all our children being prayed for. The date for Prayer Card distribution will be Sunday, September 20th.

THANK YOU to the Covid Carolers, you were such a blessing.

JOY AMSTUZ’S moving date has been moved to Saturday, Aug. 29th; at 8:00 am. Meeting in the alley in the rear. Needed: a number of men to move furniture and boxes call Brian Shoemaker. Much help is needed on Monday the 31st to unpack boxes, including men to move heavy boxes. IT’S CHOIR TIME:  Yes, we will be having choir again this year.  And yes, we will try to respect social distance concerns.  If you’re interested in seeing how we’ll do this, please join our first practice IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL at 8:00, Wednesday, September 9.  If you have any questions, see Gary or Nancy.  Hope to see you then!
