THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Combat Alliances with the World. Why can’t we all just get along? When we see evidence of so much division and skepticism in our world, this question arises in the minds of many people. But for people to get along, there must be agreement of principles for that to take place. Forced alliances by coercion, collusion or compromise are untenable. For Christians, any attempt to live in agreement with worldly standards, or its lack thereof, is disloyal to our citizenship in heaven. We will see why this is so.
THE SACRAMENT of Holy Communion will be shared at the service of worship this morning. We invite all members of the church of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament.

- By now some of the literacy students among the Erukula people in India have become believers. Others are learning much, but have not experienced the life-changing effects of regeneration. In this post-Easter season, though, we might pray from Psalm 119:105 for all the literacy students: Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. May those who are born again grow in light of the Light they’ve received, and may others have the eyes of their hearts opened by the Light.
- In some ways the Annual Equipping Events held in the past two months among churches in Niger and Chad are something like the time between Jesus’ resurrection and His ascension. Jesus taught his disciples about how the Scripture spoke and pointed to Him [Luke 24:44-45] and explained to His followers the things concerning the kingdom of God [Acts 1:3]. Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit to bless and use them as He used the first century followers of Jesus to tell others the Good News of Jesus.

LADIES OF LEIDY’S – Ladies, we are in for a real treat. Pastor Niederhaus will be the guest speaker at the Ladies of Leidy’s meeting on Tuesday night. The time is 7 pm, the room is 123. All the ladies of the church are welcome.
SLMT WILL HAPPEN IN 2021 – Remember, SLMT is an acronym for Short Length Mission Trip. This year that does not mean going to a First Nation Reserve in Ontario; rather we’ll be staying local. The Church and Community Committee and the Mission Committee are in the process of working with Worthwhile Wear to arrange for a couple of work weeks in the July/August timeframe. Details are still being developed, but keep your ear to the ground and some freedom in your schedule so that you’ll be able to participate.

NORAD – THAT’S THE Newly Organized Rejoinder About Drama. It’s also the ministry we have called Judgment House for a number of years. NORAD is beginning to work through a script for the 2021 dramatic gospel presentation. Let’s agree with Paul the apostle as he exhorts us to not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
