THE SERMON TITLE this morning is What God Can Do! This is Palm Sunday! A day for singing Alleluias and praising God for sending the Lord Jesus who is the Son of David, the King of Israel. Of course, it’s also just five days out from the darkest of all the days of humanity, even darker than in the days of Noah’s flood. Good Friday will happen, but Good Friday is not the Final Word. Jeremiah, the prophet of dark forebodings of disaster for the nation of Israel, has a particular task assigned to him by God. He sees that it is done but cannot begin to imagine how it can be meaningful. He needed to learn what God can do.
EASTER SUNDAY is one week from today. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be shared. Please come prepared in heart and mind to share in this sacrament.

In preparation for their departure, they are putting together a Barnabas Prayer Team. They would like to have someone from Leidy’s Church to be part of that team. Talk to Pastor Niederhaus for more information to see if this might be something where you could serve the Lord.
KRISTA TYSON is going on a mission/service trip to Bolivia in August. She is raising funds for the trip now. You may have received a letter in your church mailbox from her. If you would like to support her but would prefer not to have your name added to another mailing list, you may give your support through Leidy’s Church. Just use a Second Mile envelope and mark it Krista to Bolivia. The church will send one check for her support at the end of April.
LUKE 19 – DO YOU ENJOY THE BEAUTY of Lancaster County? I’ve taken six of my photographs and had them made into 4″ X 5″ folded notecards with envelopes. A set of six different scenes is $8. THERE’S NO SUCH THING as too many cooks in the kitchen as far as the VBS team is concerned. This year we’re trying something new for VBS dinner. We’d like five different families/groups to take a turn providing dinner for the VBS crowd just one night. This means preparing a simple meal for about 100-120 people. It can be something as easy as baked ziti, chili, or sandwiches. If you’re willing to take a night (June 17-21) please contact Laura Heebner 215-872-9834.
AS IN PREVIOUS YEARS, the church will ring with the sounds of the Hallelujah Chorus this Easter. All are invited to participate! If you’ve ever sung or thought of singing the Hallelujah Chorus, please join us for practice Wednesday evening at 7:30.
